I have a small class of students. All of my students are either physically impaired or otherwise health impaired. 4 out of the 6 periods I teach core subjects. The other 2 periods I teach social skills/life skills. They are all sweet kids and work very hard every single day. It is not uncommon for me to see tears at least once a day because they are frustrated for a variety of reasons. I have been teaching special needs students for 5 years, all of them in Duval County. I love my job and this is my passion. I can see myself still teaching special needs kids in 35 years. I would not trade my job for anything else.
