Since my special education students are audio, visual, and tactile learners, tablets are a great way for them to learn and be engaged in learning. There are many apps such as, Starfall, and ABC Mouse that the students can understand better than having a teacher stand and verbalize information for them. So many special education students have tablets at home for gaming and watching videos that they can understand and maneuver easily with technology. Therefore having enough tablets for each student in class, allows for either everyone being on the same site at once for whole group learning or students can be allowed to have independent time for using apps in the areas that they may need more assistance with a specific deficit area.
