Our classroom is made up of 18 diverse students who all bring something different to our family. I say family, because that is what we strive to be. I must say our family is AMAZING! Every student in our classroom learns. Although no two students come to school with the same culture, learning strengths, background knowledge, or experiences, and no two students learn in exactly the same way, every student's unique personal history enriches our classroom, our school, and our community. This diversity is our greatest education asset. Our classroom consist of 11 different learning centers: Dramatic Play, Block Center, Art Center, Science Center, Sensory Table, Reading Center, Writing Center, ABC/Literacy Center, Math Center, Music Center, Prop Boxes. We have a weekly thematic unit and we change out the learning center materials to go along with the current theme. This keeps the students engaged and learning through play.
