My students are fighting to beat the odds set against them. They have all the potential in the world, but need the best opportunities and learning experiences in order to contribute everything they possibly can to their world. My students are a group of eager and dynamic individuals. They come from a variety of challenging backgrounds, but are resilient and determined. Because they are not from ideal circumstances, it has become my mission to bring them every opportunity possible in order to excite and engage them in learning. These students are willing to learn and eager to try, but need to be given a chance to do so. With the proper encouragement, coupled with profound learning experiences, these children will defy the statistical odds defined by their socioeconomic status and become the leaders of the next generation.
