I want to use a VR headset to help my students see what it would be like in different careers they might be interested and to help them practice virtual job interviews. VR is a great way for children with Autism to practice social skills! Most of them love technology and computers, and I think they will find VR a way to practice skills in a safe, non-threatening environment without the distractions of the real world. We will practice first without distraction using a headset to minimize noise and then increase the distraction levels until they can feel comfortable in a real-world scenario. My students need an iPad, iPhone, and VR headset. This is the minimum equipment needed for one VR station.
