Your donation to this project will help my students have access to a diverse set of mentor texts. These books will be used throughout a 7 week long author study to expose my students to different authors and illustrators. With your support I will use these books to guide my students to become close listeners, to learn how to ask questions, and to comprehend what the authors message is. These are the skills they will need to become stronger readers. Going along with the beautiful mentor texts we will create joint product activities, have instructional conversations, and make meaningful connections. Through my guidance this year in kindergarten, I hope to inspire my students to not only read books but to experience them.
