Our high school is a Title One School. Most of our students receive free or reduced lunch. I want to provide my students with the highest quality classroom experience. My classroom lacks the resources to complete a dissection lab. My classroom needs 10 student dissection kits, 5 aluminum trays, nitrile gloves, and specimens (5 frogs and 2 pigs) to dissect. The pigs will be used for more advanced students, but the whole class can compare the difference in amphibians and mammals. For most people, the dissection lab is the most memorable experience from biology and I want this to be true for my students (not to mention to real world experience it will provide my students interested in healthcare and veterinary sciences)! My students need dissection kits, trays and specimens to make this lab a possibility. From this project, my students will learn to appreciate STEM!
