We need flexible seating options and sensory items so our scholars can participate fully. The beanbags, saucer chairs, and bands will give our most wiggly kids the flexibility to move without being disruptive while weighted pillows and chew stix allow our kids with sensory needs or anxiety access in more age appropriate ways. A tent and floor pillows give our students the chance to have a safe space when they need a place to chill out and calm down. Our scholars all have documented needs that make it difficult to conform to our school's rules and structure without added supports. As we grow into a middle school, there are more scholars and more diverse needs than we currently have resources to support. The Special Education team doesn't currently have a budget of our own but we believe it is crucial that we provide our kids with all the little things that make a BIG difference. We appreciate your support!
