Herding cats or chasing ants? Some days I feel like I do a little of both. I teach second grade students who are always on the go. They are bursting with eagerness and a hunger to learn. In order to motivate and interest them, I use topics that vary from gross foods to pirates to research, develop creativity, problem solve, and integrate technology. My students thrive on hands-on challenges and computer activities. The nature of my class allows them the opportunity to delve into more unique activities in a smaller group setting.
