There are often multiple grades and groups in my room at one time since I teach kindergarten, first, and second grade. Multiple groups talking and working in one room is very distracting not only to all students but even more distracting to students who have a hard time focusing. A room divider would help my students so they are able to focus on learning the lesson they are involved in, and not the one going on across the room. My students will benefit by learning more material in a shorter period of time and I will be able to spend more time teaching and less time redirecting students.
