Our La-4 Pre-K is a wonderful group of 10 girls and 10 boys. Students have to qualify for free or reduced lunch to qualify for La-4 (Federally Funded Program). Although our small, rural school is part of the Title One Grant (funding for technology), the La-4 Pre-K is not allowed to use any of the money being that we are funded by federal funds. Money has not been given to the program in years. The technology in the classroom is outdated. Anything purchased comes out of the teacher's pocket. The students are wonderful to be around, bringing smiles on the worst days. The students love to learn and look forward to what's in store for each lesson. Their eagerness and smiles make my job the most rewarding job around.
