Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. When they arrive in the morning, they choose their seat for the day. Currently, my students have table choice only. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed positive differences in my students since I began allowing them to choose a table each day, but I want to offer them so much more! They almost always make good choices about where they sit, are more engaged, and get more work completed when they have a voice and choice in where they sit. I want to give them more choice!
