The fifth grade contains two inclusion classrooms (ICT), one ESL room, and one self-contained room (along with fourth grade). In order to make sure our students are focused and alert, we would like to provide our classrooms with sensory tools and supports. Examples of these include stress balls, flexible seating, weighted lap pads, and headphones. If students feel a sense of stress or sensory overload, to avoid further frustration, students can take a break with an appropriate tool. Students will also be taught to use these tools appropriately during instruction if need be. Academics and well-being are a priority in our unique classrooms. We strive for our students to do, try, and be their very best achieved and every day!
