I am a teacher at a small charter school in Newark, New Jersey. We have approximately 110 students from Newark whom we prepare for the challenges of high school through academic rigor. We prepare further prepare them for the real world through exploration of topics that impact the real world. We work as a team to give each student the skills to be a critical, independent thinker throughout their time at our school. Through our dedication to inquiry based learning, we are able to provide our students with the tools to grow into successful leaders, meaningful contributors to society, and informed decision-makers. We are able to encourage their personal growth and intellectual curiosity. We remain a support system for our students and their families long after they have graduated. We do not act just as a school, but as a small community with a shared vision. My classroom doors are always open to learners and visitors!
