The guitars that we have are in poor condition. They do not stay in tune and are very old. It is difficult for students to have a good musical experience if the classroom instruments are not in good working condition. Students also need matching instruments in order to have quality sound as an ensemble. Each student needs to have their own instrument to use during class so that they do not have to share. At this time, we are sharing instruments. We do units on guitar playing during class. We use a guitar curriculum. We could play the guitars I am requesting at school music concerts and would have more time to prepare for the concerts with this matched set of guitars that would sound the same.
