I want my students to feel like they're in their home away from home. My goal is that my students feel like they are a part of our classroom community when they walk through the doors. With this project I picked a lot of learning centers for my students. These materials will make a difference in my students' learning, because it will help them learn important skills that they need to know in the beginning of first grade. The double-sided magnetic letter tiles will be used in small group centers to help students create words, blend, and read words that they create. The touch and read materials will be used for guided reading lessons to teach and reinforce vowel sounds and digraphs to help students learn to read. My kids love to learn and I want them to have all the resources they need. Along with the centers I picked items that I can use to store items in so that our classroom will be organized. We want to pick up where we left off and start the school year off strong!
