My students are urban students, many living in social-economical disadvantaged neighborhoods with limited technological resources at home, and many times here at our school is their only exposure to technology. Due to the current budget crisis, our school's technology equipment is becoming old and outdated. STEM training is becoming a very important issue in our schools because to prepare our students for their future, we must start to teach them using all of the resources that are available, they must be able to use those resources daily and build from what they learn to prepare themselves for high school and beyond.
