Our drumline performs at 8 to 10 events in a year. They are a local favorite for our community. To be apart of the drumline is a huge honor to the selected students. Our equipment is over 10 years old and badly needs replaced. Some of the bass drums are literally falling apart and are held together by duct tape. Buying an entire set of drum line equipment would cost approximately 5000 dollars. Our school is a Title I school and provides equipment free of charge to its students. Many of my students come to school just for drumline. It’s what keeps them in school and motivated to learn and better themselves.
