The request of the project is for an Apple iPad and Apple Pencil. These materials would be used by me, as the teacher to produce lessons for my students. As our nation's classrooms have shifted to online learning, we as educators need the resources to make this new kind of learning accessible to our students while producing the same level of quality teaching. Currently, I am delivering lesson notes via online conferencing or completed lesson notes via email. Although we are grateful that we can connect with these online resources, I am still confined to teach within its limits. The quality of the video conferencing makes it difficult for my students to see what I'm writing. Sometimes, when the call is lagging, students don't get full explanations of a problem or miss crucial parts of the lesson. When the notes are given to the student via email, the notes are completed and have no explanation to go with them. While some students are able to follow the completed notes and can figure out each step, most students need the verbal discussion of the problems. With this iPad and Apple Pencil I will able to use whiteboard apps that will allow me write out the notes clearly, speak to the notes, allow students to watch the live feed, and produce a link to a video of the notes. This device will allow me use online apps that would make the learning more effective. As our world is changing by the day, we as educators need to change as well. The style of teaching we did in our physically classrooms will need to be altered for our virtual classrooms. With your help, these resources would help to provide the best quality education I can to my students given our circumstances.
