My students are all very unique individuals who bring many skills to the table. With so many different skill sets in my classroom I would like to be able to create collaborative movies with the Lego City pieces. These movies would allow each child in my room to shine and share their skills with the group. How better to work on your social skills and create amazing Lego City movies then through teamwork. Working as a group and sharing your ideas and skills is the ultimate goal of this project. The Lego City models will also benefit the younger students in the classroom next door. They will be able to learn about community helpers and who they can turn to if they need help. My students will be able to create movies and give demonstrations to their younger peers about things that are relevant to their schooling. Using Legos as a medium to practice social skills, work on much needed communication skills for later jobs and working together as a team. These are all valuable life skills that you will help foster in my students when you help me fund this project.
