My job title says fourth grader teacher, but if you are a teacher, you know that your job title does not do your job justice. It is hours past when you are "expected" to be at the building, spending time coaching students through decision making, being the one to help them with life skills that they may not learn elsewhere, and getting to know them as people and not just a number on a growth chart. I love my job! This job does, however, present a budget challenge for most classrooms and schools. I post on Donors Choose because I want to help my school out by trying to get resources for our classrooms when the money is not always available. You have already helped by just taking the time to care and read this page!
