Our school has over 1000 students and continues to grow. At this time, I have 20 kindergartners in my classroom. It is very difficult for all of my students to sit comfortably and remain engaged in lessons with the carpet we currently have. A central meeting place where all students have their own personal space on the carpet would greatly enhance many activities. We have class discussions, morning meetings, STEM lessons, and whole group activities on our carpet. A larger carpet would give my students more space to participate in meaningful activities and lessons as they reach their potentials and share their knowledge with their peers.
