Welcome to the Zen Squad! I am the Psychiatric Social Worker for Gates Street Elementary. A majority of my students are English Language Learners and from a low SES community. My school is a Title 1 , Performance Improvement school with 100% free lunch program. My students experience a variety of difficult circumstances including struggles with mental health, poverty, and/or community violence. For a lot of my students, school is a save haven and my goal is to create a blissful space for them where they will be happy, peaceful, all while having fun. I provide multitiered services which include school wide campaigns, targeted classrooms presentations or groups, and individual counseling among other things.
