I teach students with special needs within the Occupational Course of Study and Future Ready Course Programs. They are constantly striving to be their best. They focus on job skills and life after high school. Some of the students require more assistance than others but they all want to have a useful job skill based on ability before leaving high school. The clothing Store would help the student with life skills instruction. "Working" within the clothing store would also offer students in need a place to "shop" without feeling embarrassed and knowing they have something they need- clothing. It's hard for some of the students because their home life in not typical. We want them to feel comfortable and protected at school. They should have a safe place to go for clothing items because we don't know what they experience at home on a daily basis. We just want to build a "safe place" for them.
