The children in preschool 1 are always looking for a way to build extraordinary structures. They use blocks, legos, and magnet tiles to create houses, barns, or castles (just to name a few). We would like to give our future architect a chance have a woodworking area, housed in our classroom play area, it will allow our children to use tools and natural materials while exploring, planning, and carrying out their ideas. Implementing a woodworking area in the classroom will not only exercise their creativity, but hammering into wood or manipulating nuts and bolts will allow them to develop their fine motor skills while using the child size tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, and wrench. Early mathematics will be enhanced by using a measuring tape to measure the amount of wood that they will need to cut, and cognitive skills utilized by being able to formulate a plan or a blueprint. Please help us meet our goal!!
