As a cheer coach, I have had the opportunity to be a part of something wonderful. I've watched girls begin to believe in themselves, pushing beyond what they held as "good enough", to what they never thought they could have achieved. Watched them smile, laugh and cry for one another. I've watched a group of girls from all different lunch tables and walks of life, transform into a sisterhood. Coaching, as well as teaching, will undoubtedly be one of the more challenging adventures that I look back on in my life. (Or, at least I begin to think that way in the weeks leading up to every Spring Break.) Even so, I cannot help but smile and be so thankful for the chance to be a part of it all. For there is nothing more beautiful than witnessing the moment when one learns to love themselves again or maybe even, for the first time. Believing and knowing their self worth, beyond how many "likes" or "followers" they may have.

About my class
