Student take forensic science for a variety of reasons. Several of the students are interested in future careers such as law enforcement, pathology, forensic psychiatry, or anthropology. Many have an appetite for science and take forensics as an elective while others simply want to learn more about the topics they have seen on TV such as "CSI" and "Bones". Most of the students in this course are college prep and choose forensics to meet their science requirements while several others are career tech students who find that forensics complements what they have learned in other classes such as law enforcement.
