I team-teach 5th grade ELA and Social Studies at a rural school in NC. 90% of my students are eligible to receive free or reduced lunch. It takes a lot to keep these students motivated in school when they have so much going on in their home lives. In addition, today's students need instant gratification to keep them interested and motivated to learn. As a teacher who cares about the success of these students, I try to make their learning experience fun... to make them WANT to learn. Many of the materials for simple activities I purchase with my own money, but many projects are out out of my financial reach. I ,as well as my students, appreciate any and all help given to our classes
