Students will have the opportunity to engage in activities that meet their needs and abilities. I currently have four desktop computers that are only allowed to be used for one specific reading program. If we had access to additional computers, students could engage in additional activities, such as phonics instruction, developing research skills, and typing skills. My second graders would have a chance to learn word documents, practice math skills through fun, educational games, and access digital books at their level. Our world is heavily reliant on technology and my students are not prepared. My second graders need more exposure and practice with computers, especially since most do not have a computer or internet at home. Your contribution would provide another way to make learning meaningful for all students. With these Chromebooks, we will have access to a plethora of lessons and activities that captivate my second graders’ interests.
