We love to be up and about in our classroom. We like to move around. We love to be at our classroom rug altogether while learning! The only problem is that as we grow, we no longer fit on our classroom rug. Our beloved shared space quickly becomes cramped quarters. What was once happy harmony and peace between learners becomes arguments over stretching out our legs. We would love a new rug that would happily fit our growing bodies. We would love enough space on our rug where we can all feel comfortable, safe, and ready to learn. We need some space for partner work, investigations, and maybe a dance party or two. We would love a rug large enough to meet these first grade needs.
