I will use these books to support story time read alouds with the children. They will be on display in our bookshelf for them to share with each other. These books reflect the diversity in our classroom, as well as tell interesting stories for the children to use, for the development of positive and healthy self images. Right now our book supply is limited and many of the books that we do have have missing and torn pages. It can be very disappointing to begin reading a story to the children, and see the looks of confusion on their faces, when we discover missing pages in the middle of a book.
