I recently moved from a fifth grade classroom to a kindergarten classroom and there is no magnetic whiteboard in the room. My kindergartners need a magnetic dry erase board in our classroom. We don't have one currently and it would be very beneficial for making words with magnetic letters, practicing writing, working out math problems and most importantly practicing our skills learned in our newly adopted reading program. Manipulating of words at this age is crucial and without the needed resources it becomes hard for students to be successful. This would benefit all 18 of my kindergarten students and would allow them to use the magnetic board during word work stations, math stations and during whole group instruction. Our classroom needs a dry erase board.
