A large, dark, and comfortable area rug is absolutely essential for my students because it will allow them to be comfortable while learning. They'll enjoy the alternative seating in music class. They would be thrilled to have comfortable, no-hassle seating while learning about music! Last year, they sat on carpet squares that were an absolute nightmare. I would tape them down and the children and I would still end up wasting so much class time fixing them! Having one large carpet for them would allow for comfortable seating and absolutely ZERO class time wasted on fixing silly little carpet squares.
