Students need to make appropriate choices for successful learning. Flexible seating helps with that. We need to help students recognize and figure out what to do with all that extra energy many students have during class time. Being able to move while learning helps kids to stay alert, provides more oxygen flow to the brain and as an added bonus, when they sit on things like the Living Balloon Seat or Learniture Stool, the students will be improving their core strength and have appropriate posture. I currently do have some flexible seating in my room and it is always in use but I do not have enough for everyone. If this project gets funded I will have 15 new seats for the students to choose from! That means the majority of my students will benefit from this.
