We are a small country school serving about 500 PK-5 students. I am the Media Specialist (School Librarian) seeing an average of 4 classes per grade level each week. The modern school library has made some remarkable changes over the years, and long gone are the times that students just visit the library to check out books. Each week we often explore content learned in the classroom through research and technology-integrated activities. It is a known fact that children learn best through life experiences and exploration...but many students go home to tablets, televisions, and game consoles. Our students need ongoing, innovative creative outlets to develop their creativity, hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving skills with engaging and meaningful learning opportunities.

About my class
