My students deserve to be motivated, challenged and inspired. They deserve to have the world brought to them through literature, so that they can experience cultures, religions and political systems different from their own. The school I work in is a small, tight knit community. It is primarily Hispanic and many of my students have never traveled outside of the country. As a result, and to no fault of their own, they have a narrow vision of the world and its happenings; however they are curious, and hungry for this information. While at school their eyes have been opened to so many things, and I want to continue to expand their academic boundaries. As they enter their senior year, I want to bring them information that will push them to study and to ask the question "why?"
