Flexible seating options increase comfort, motivation, and brain activity in elementary students. This is especially important for my students who are only four and five years old as movement is vital for early learning. Although my students love to learn, many of them learn best when they are wiggling, bouncing, or swaying. My students learn by experience, and STEM materials like LEGO and biological observation chambers are fun and fascinating ways for these young people to experience the wonders of the world inside their own classroom. When my students use these materials, their eyes light up and their brains fire up to learn. Ready, set, GO!
