Diversity in Text will be a project that allows my students to find themselves in a book, as well as grow to understand the world around them. This project will help me begin to meet the needs of every students' reading interest and diverse background. "It's important for young readers to see themselves in books and in stories." With these new books, my students will be exposed to diverse stories and lives. It is important that children are exposed to worlds other than their own. My students are eager to read and learn about our diverse world. Thank you for helping my amazing students gain access to diverse text!

About my class
