Our classroom looks much different this year with several new safety protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students are adjusting to wearing masks, sitting farther apart from one another, and having windows open with fans blowing for proper air circulation throughout the day. With these protocols in place, it has become very difficult to hear one another when we share our thoughts and ideas in class! By the end of our first week in school, I had already lost my voice and many of my scholars missed important information that their classmates had shared. I want to amplify student voice in my classroom and love for all of my scholars to share their thoughts, feelings, and ideas with their classmates! The qball microphone system would allow my students to engage in class in a fun way: tossing a microphone to their classmates to hear their voices! This project would also help build confidence in my more quiet, shy natured scholars. I do not want to speak for them, I want them to be able to use their own voice to express themselves. The qball will just make sure that their classmates can hear them!
