What's the most common surface for students to create on? PAPER! We are looking to get both watercolor and drawing paper for 600 students to use throughout the 2019-2020 school year. Watercolor paper has a weight that allows for paint absorption (so student artwork doesn't warp or rip), and large drawing paper gives students the space to practice, explore, and build upon their imaginative ideas. Art makes kids powerful. It allows them a space to learn and express their understanding visually. What will soon be hanging on a wall, fridge, or in a frame first has to be on our art tables. Paper is just the platform. Our lessons are made of BIG ideas and worldly inspirations. Some 2D projects we do throughout the year are self-portraits, landscapes, still lifes, Earth art, and so much more!
