Beethoven once said, "music can change the world." Flocabulary uses songs and music to teach students vocabulary, vocabulary strategies, and reading strategies. My students always want music to play while they are working. With Flocabulary, I can use music, something they love, to engage them in their learning. Teaching varies levels of students, I am constantly looking for activities to increase the rigor in my classroom. STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) activities, like the building bridges kit, will allow my students to challenge themselves while learning cooperation and problem-solving. Fractions are an area our students struggle with as a whole here at Wellborn. The Fraction Kit and Fraction City will provide my students with hands-on manipulatives helping to make fractions a more concrete idea. Each of these items also helps reach all the different levels and learning styles in my class.
