This year, I am switching from teaching second grade to teaching kindergarten. This is exciting, as kindergarten is a year of rapid growth for students - students are learning to read! As I make this change as a teacher, there are many supplies that I will need (that I didn't before) to support my young learners. I will need many supplies for workstations to allow students to engage in learning independently as I work with other students in small groups. For example, I am hoping to have pocket charts, magnetic boards, and different types of letters so my students can practice spelling words in different ways. Having these supplies will make this transition a smooth one and will ensure my students have everything they need from day one of the school year.
