My classroom is full of bright, dynamic, resilient 2nd graders. All of them are English Language learners, and many of them are newcomers to this country. Despite our school district being severely underfunded with 100% of students on reduced or free lunch, my students show up in great spirits and ready to do their best. My students deserve more than the district is able to provide.
