We're currently in the Typography and Binding & Finishing Unit of graphic communications. After each unit, I give a project requiring the student to demonstrate mastery of the skill. The items requested will give my students the opportunity to gain community service points towards their Georgia's Best Certification. My students enjoy creative freedom. Coloring and drawing has become apart of my classroom management system. It allows students to relieve stress in a productive way. This year we've decided to create Coloring Books using original typography illustrations and designs created during our recent unit skill assessment project. Students will use the classroom Xerox Machine to produce the books. We would like to donate several coloring books to three previously selected organizations we want to adopt for the Holidays. We would like to give them stress relief coloring books, crayons and a Holiday message designed and produced by our class.
