I teach a group of high school students in the south. These students are faced with discrimination and intolerance daily. I hope to create in them a want to discover. It will be a want to learn and develop that will shape them into competent young readers, writers, and citizens, regardless of what the small town around them believes. My students deserve to go on this educational journey of discovering who they are and where they see themselves going because they are growing members of an evolving and encouraging community.

About my class
