My wonderful kinder class has a serious shortage of quality leveled readers for small group instruction. With COVID restrictions, I cannot allow my learners to share leveled texts. Since each child in my 22 member class needs to hold several of their own texts, I desperately need more copies. Small group reading instruction is essential to their understanding of text, their phonemic awareness, and it begins their love of reading in earnest! I will use these leveled sets to begin reading instruction in student groups of 4-6. Each student will be leveled to read a best fit book from these sets. Thank you for considering my project!
