I want to provide my students with the opportunity to connect with their culture by learning how to make a ribbon skirt or shirt. I hope to be able to facilitate a sense of pride and confidence when they wear something they made with their own hands. Ribbon skirts and shirts are significant in Native American culture, both in every day and on special occasions. My goal is to help my students connect with a part of their culture that they may never get to experience otherwise. Thank you so much for helping provide cultural enrichment to our young Native students!!

About my class
