Last year was a challenge for students and teachers. This year, one of my main goals is to focus on the mental well-being of my first grade students. It has been a long time since many of them have been at school in person. I hope to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for my students and help them to understand they can accomplish anything they set their mind to. These journals will help my students work through challenges, celebrate their efforts, help them to know mistakes are part of the learning process, and open up the conversation in our classroom community. These journals include many fun-filled activities that will help them grow.
