My goal is to begin a transition from a "normal" classroom to a 100% flexible seating classroom. This will take time, but I have to get the ball rolling for my kiddos! They will be so excited to begin this transition in the classroom. With these new, comfortable seats, the students will be more comfortable while learning. I plan to use some of these seats in flexible reading areas, but the seats will be used throughout the day, across the curriculum areas. Students will be able to make their own decisions on what seating best suits them. These flexible seats will greatly benefit a number of my special needs students. If my students are comfortable in the classroom, their concentration is expected to improve. When concentration improves, grades and academic performance will improve, as well! My students already display academic success on a daily basis in my classroom. I can't wait to see how this classroom flexibility-flip increases these successes!
