I am so excited to be a first-year teacher in a brand new school! Since I am currently pursuing my master's degree, I have had the opportunity to explore different types of classrooms in today's day and age. Student engagement is key and I know that if my students have the ability to make the choice of where they are sitting, they will be able to retain more content and enjoy learning much more. The wobble chairs I am asking for will be perfect for my students that have trouble sitting still for long periods of time. They will be able to focus while sitting comfortably. At the library, the option to have cushions will allow my students to get lost in their reading, and take that adventure with the characters in series such as The Magic tree house, and Junie B Jones! The other stools would be used at the kidney table to allow my students to have another option to what they feel most comfortable in learning, which goes back to student choice. I can't wait to begin my first year teaching and continue my education! I know flexible seating will make a huge difference in my classroom!
